Ithaka regularly undertakes due diligence assignments for venture capital companies. In 2006 and 2007 Ithaka performed a series of business and technical due diligence and performance for NVM Private Equity and YFM venture capital companies leading to investment of around £1M in Gentronix, a University of Manchester spin-out, developing a novel toxicology test for use in pharmaceutical development. A major part of the due diligence review was an assessment of the impact of the proposed investment on sales of the company's first product.
